What a week! In this week’s episode - Episode 89 - Team BibRave discusses highlights from the epic Boston Marathon. We then welcome back Dr. Josh Kaplan to talk to us on 4/20 about, what else, marijuana and running.

Tim, Jessica, and Stephanie recap one of the craziest and most exciting Boston Marathons ever! Tim and Jess share their experience spectating and then we hear from Stephanie about what it was like to actually run in some of the worst Marathon conditions on record. And, we all share warm fuzzies about Desi, Yuki, and a myriad of other amazing stories from Marathon Monday.

Then, in honor of 4/20, we invite Dr. Josh Kaplan from Episode 79: Drunk on the Run to talk to us about the use and effects of marijuana for runners. Dr. Kaplan is a neuroscientist specializing in the science of medical cannabis, and was recently was named by High Times as one of the 100 Most Influential People in the cannabis industry. We have a fascinating conversation about the differences between medical and recreational cannabis, and other CBD products. The conversation then dovetails into benefits of medical marijuana for athletes and an interesting exploration of what the “runner’s high” actually is.

It’s a fascinating episode, so be sure to give it a listen. Don’t forget to check us out on Spotify - streaming all your favorite episodes! And, as always, you can find us on social - Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram!
