For Episode 97 of The BibRave Podcast, we’re excited to partner with our friends at Gatorade Endurance to bring to you a conversation with Katie Hynes, a sports nutritionist who is also a speedy marathoner that runs with the BibRave Portland crew. You may remember Katie from her blog post on how to stay “on pace” with your eating habits over the holidays, and her feature on The BibRave Bonus Mile: Safety Edition.

First, we discuss how Katie’s passion for running inspired her to pivot her career to become a sports nutritionist. We then dive into the science behind hydration and nutrition, as it relates to endurance events, what adaptations happen in the body that make it trickier to master, and how runners should approach finding a good strategy for their own body. As with most things in life, the key is to focus on what’s best for YOU.

As always, you can find us on social - Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram! And if you haven’t yet, please leave us a review on iTunes!
