We’re really thrilled to bring you Episode 105 of The BibRave Podcast and our fascinating conversation with exercise physiologist & nutrition scientist Stacy Sims, PhD. Stacy has specialized in ways to optimize endurance training based on your gender, and specifically the differences for the female body. But don’t worry men, this is a fascinating episode that you’ll want to tune into as well if you have any female runners in your life!

We dive deep into why women’s bodies and bodily functions vary from men, how that impacts how we train, recover, and fuel. We talk about why these differences are important when considering how and when to train, and certain recent diet trends like the keto diet and intermittent fasting. Stacy also shares insight behind how birth control affects our bodies, and we end with a few very important takeaways.

We left this conversation wanting to go back and RE-read her book because there’s so much to unpack. As always, you can find us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram!
