Zach was the first American male to win the CCC in 2015, and his other race creds include top ten finishes at UTMB in 2016 and 2017, and wins at the JFK 50, Lake Sonoma 50, and TNF 50 multiple years in a row. This week’s episode is brought to you by our friends at CARA (Chicago Area Runners Association) and their 'Go Run program - providing free timed 5K and 1-Mile events at parks located across the Chicagoland area.

But beyond all the running, Zach opens up about his minimalist approach to life “off the grid,” living and working as a caretaker for Barr Camp on Pikes Peak, without potable water, Wi-Fi (😱), and many other creature comforts.

Zach shares some really unique insights about turning his passion for running in the mountains into a career (and changing sponsors from Nike to The North Face).
