Today we bring you Episode 140 of The BibRave Podcast - featuring a conversation with Blaine Penny about how he has set multiple Guinness World Records while running Marathons. This week’s episode is brought to you by Brooks Running. Brooks has partnered with BibRave to create Nashville Notes: a Runner’s Guide to Music City, featuring all the race weekend inspiration and recommendations you need for St. Jude’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Nashville.

In conversation with Blaine, Tim and Jess hear all about what it takes to set a Guinness World Record - spoiler alert, it’s not easy! He shares stories of what it’s like to run a Marathon connected to 112 other runners in an effort to raise awareness and funds for the non-profit organization he founded - MitoCanada - which focuses on mitochondrial disease awareness and research. We then get into Blaine’s very personal experience discovering his son Evan suffers from the disease and how it’s changed his life.
