This week on The BibRave Podcast, we welcome back former professional runner and host of The Mocko Show, Chris Mocko! We talked to Chris on the show about a year ago, and a few months later (after a solid showing at Western States) he made the difficult decision to leave professional running.

Voting is officially open for The BibRave100! Vote today for your favorite distance category races before August 31st. 🎉 We can’t wait to see who comes out on top!

Tim and Chris talk a lot about what went into making his difficult running career call, what factors he considered, and what challenges were part of being a professional runner. Chris is a super analytical and thoughtful guy who’s unique because he doesn’t let those internal deliberations prevent him from making big (and risky!) moves. They talk about a few decision-making paradigms, with a lot of emphasis on the risks of NOT doing something versus doing.

Tim and Chris’ conversation is a bit heavier than some of Chris’s other interviews, but we found it to be super interesting and substantive!
