This week on The BibRave Podcast, Tim and Jess welcome writer and coach Matt Fitzgerald back to the show! We last talked to Matt on Episode 96 and so much has changed in Matt’s life since then.

Starting in early spring, Matt developed COVID-19-like symptoms and has struggled to regain his normal fitness and running ability since then. As he noted on Twitter, “Some people die of COVID-19. Others recover. Still others neither die nor recover fully. It seems I may belong to this last group, and the experience is challenging me to practice what I preach about mental fitness like nothing else ever has.”

Tim and Jess talk to Matt about his struggle through this seemingly endless ordeal, his physical conditions and how those have affected his running, and the mental toll it’s taken on him. Matt’s story is deeply unfortunate but also very eye-opening.

Lastly and on a brighter note, they also talk about Matt’s new book The Comeback Quotient, an extremely timely and valuable book for all of us in 2020.
